You don’t have to keep repeating the same patterns. Change is possible. I have been coaching clients for over 20 years on ways to improve their emotional and relational health.

Taking the first step and reaching out to start therapy is HARD. You might think you should know how to fix things on your own, or that it will feel too uncomfortable talking to someone about personal and sensitive issues. I aim to be neutral and non-judgmental, so that my clients feel safe and at ease while working with me. I specialize in a skills-based therapy modality called DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy). It’s a practical, structured way to learn new ways of managing emotions and improving communication.

A bit about me

I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Concordia College and a Masters in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin. I did my clinical internship at St. David’s Pavilion, where I ran group therapy sessions for those with drug and alcohol addictions.

I worked at Seton Shoal Creek Hospital for several years, as a therapist for the Adolescent and Family Intensive Outpatient Program. I completed the official Dialectical Behavior Therapy training through Behavior Tech in 2006.

I began my private practice in 2006, specializing in DBT for adolescents and adults.
